Description
The boy who lived, the legendary Harry Potter is now making a name for himself in Hogwarts football. Although he missed out on summer training before school, he was quickly scouted and recruited by Prof. McGonagall during a physical education class when he chased down Slytherin quarterback Draco Malfoy, in a succesful attempt to take back one of his classmates item that had been taken. When presented before the Griffindor Captain, Oliver Wood, and after being put through some drills, he was welcomed to the team with open arms.
He wasn't a very physical player at first, but that all changed after Griffindors first season match against Slytherin. After being constantly roughed up by Crab, Goyle and Malfoy while on offense and being the target of Malfoys constant taunting, Potter took to defense for the first time and as a linebacker, constantly blitzed Malfoy, sacking him several times during that one game.
His primary position is tight-end and after the first Slytherin game, he became a second string linebacker as well. However, in a move of desperation during a Ravenclaw match, he was moved to cornerback (permanently) to try and stop the duo of the 1st year Skye Eagleton and the 2nd year female, Cho Chang. Although Skye was a fierce and virtually invincible opponent, Potter found an even greater rival and mentor in Cho Chang.
Although he has less bouts with Malfoy as a cornerback, Potter thinks it's an even better position because he can "shut down Dracos pass routes and still blitz him when opprotunity presents itself."
He works exceptionally well when paired up with his fellow first year friend Ronald Weasley and when the two corners are side-by-side, any average receiver covered on their side stands little chance.
His knowledge and skill at football is suprisingly thanks to his muggle cousin who always forced him to play with him and his bigger friends. This unintentional conditioning is definately a big part of Harry's astounding performance as a 1st year.
He is a very promising player and we look forward to watchiung him grow and mature as an athlete.
This is Harry in his 2nd or 3rd years at Hogwarts. I drew his freshman version but he looked to much like a pansy, so I just did an older more rugged version. *the younger version is't as buff as this one either*
